We will be doing a Self Defense Walk/Run through the bike trails at Island
Lake Recreation Area (Spring Mill Pond). This 1 mile walk/run will have
different assaults take place along the trails. We will be focusing on abduction
style defenses, situational awareness, and escape.
Please wear appropriate clothing for a wooded trail,
and protection from elements. Running shoes, t-shirt, and shorts or workout
pants.
After the run
we will move to the water for Self Defense and Fighting
at different depths of water. Showing modifications and limitations with
water as a barrier.
Please
bring appropriate swim wear or an additional t-shirt to wear over your suit for
self defense training.
The purpose of
this training is to familarize our community with the different types of attack
that could happen while running or swimming. We encourage you to bring all ipods
and earphones that you would normally wear while running.
Cost is $36 per person
or $50 for 2
